Ogone, an online payment service provider, has set up offices in the US with the aim to open up European e-commerce markets to US business. The team, headed by Regional Head for North America James Byler, will also be focusing on establishing local partnerships and expanding the company’s network. Ogone is looking to provide US companies with an opportunity to do business with e-commerce enterprises in Europe and around the world, online and on mobile, and to maximise revenue by enabling local payments in those markets. Online sales are forecast to grow by 16.1% in Europe this year compared to 9% in the US.
