PayPal pilots new mobile payment system in Singapore

‘Shop and pay on-the-go’

PayPal is piloting a new ‘shop and pay on-the-go’ systems across 15 subway stations in Singapore.

PayPal account holders will be able to scan QR codes on ads using their smartphones and the mobile payment firm expands its digital wallet service. The firm chose the region because smartphone penetrationis 70% in the country.
