The partnership will incorporate the TransUnion’s Contact Verification Service into the ThreatMetrix Cybercrime Defender Platform to create the TrustDefender Identity Verification Service (see press release). TransUnion is also officially launching its Device Verification Service, which integrates its Identity Manager platform with the ThreatMetrix Cybercrime Defender Platform.
The partnership integrates the features and functionality of each party’s respective fraud prevention platforms to provide customers with two platforms delivering enhanced real time online contact verification. The solution is geared towards high-volume, high-risk e-commerce businesses and new account origination for financial institutions and social media websites.
The integrated solutions enable customers to reduce the risk associated with a new account origination or high value transaction by confirming the customer’s identity using TransUnion’s Contact Verification Service whilst carrying out a fraud analysis on the device used in the transaction with the ThreatMetrix Cybercrime Defender Platform.
