The mobile payment solution provider is doubling its footprint in the US, expanding to four new cities: Atlanta, Chicago, San Diego and Seattle (view press release). Seth Priebatsch, “Chief Ninja” at LevelUp’s parent company SVNGR says the decision came as a result of “deafening demand” to expand from day one. He goes on to say that they “can’t wait to be a part of the local ecosystem in each city, both as a local tech-startup and as a platform to help businesses thrive.”
LevelUp offers consumers a new way to pay by registering a personal QR code on their smartphone which can then be used to scan items and make purchases. The solution nurtures loyalty as the more a product or service is purchased, the more the consumer is rewarded. Businesses can use LevelUp to track purchasing patterns and customer behaviour, and boost sales through progressive loyalty programmes.
