The new feature is an enhancement of DirecPay, the online remittance service provider’s payment gateway (view press release). According to the company, up to 40% of attempted online transactions today fail for reasons such as connection failure, session timeout, wrong financial data, password not present, lack of awareness of payment methods and failed bank server login.
Retailers can use the new feature to collate intelligence and identify abandoned transactions through real time alerts and analysis. When one of the aforementioned errors occurs, the merchant is notified and can attempt to reconnect the customer and complete the transaction.
