Zynga is partnering with three game developers as it prepares to launch its new gaming network, which the company hopes will reduce its dependence on Facebook, where the company currently makes 93% of its revenue. Established Japanese publisher Konami is developing a new game to be published on Zynga, while Playdemic is bringing its social games Gourmet Ranch and Crossword Buddies to the platform, and publisher Rebellion is developing a new title exclusively for Zynga. Zynga has 240m monthly users, mostly through Facebook. Although the firm is making an effort to wean itself off Facebook, gamers on Zynga’s platform will still log in using their Facebook IDs use Facebook Credits as a means of payment.
