Qatar National Bank (QNB) is launching a mobile banking application for Android (view press release). The original service was launched in 2010 across various platforms and since has became available to a range of smartphone handsets including iPhone and Blackberry. QNB is now extending the service to Android and is available as a free download through Google Play. The service will allow Android users to carry out QNB financial services from their mobile such as check balance and transaction history, transfer funds, pay bills, manage top-ups and make credit card payments.
QNB also recently announced it is launching what it claims to be Qatar’s first mobile NFC-based contactless payment solution, QNB MasterCard PayPass.
