Ohio-based startup SimpleRegistry has raised $150,000 from CincyTech. SimpleRegistry offers an online gift ‘wishlist’ service aimed at engaged couples and new parents, and differentiates itself from traditional registries by unifying offerings from a wide variety of retailers. “If you can take a picture of it and assign a monetary value to it, you can put it on your registry,” says co-founder and CEO Tony Alexander.
This funding is part of a larger seed funding round. SimpleRegistry will use it to develop its product and build out its public relations, advertising and marketing departments.
