ASK reels in $6.1 million for contactless technology

Expanding into secure documents sector

ASK, French developer of contactless technology, has raised a new funding round worth €4.7m ($6.1m) from CDC Innovation, as well as undisclosed new investors. ASK will use the money to expand from the contactless card sector, where it has an estimated 25% market share, into the secure documents sector, applying its technology to biometric passports, eID cards and electronic drivers licenses.
