The Swedish mobile payment provider is rolling out a new mobile payment solution that supports NFC and QR codes (view press release). Retailers in the retail and catering industries will also have the ability to communicate directly with customers, in and out of the store, through push offers and notifications. Information such as product deals, weekly lunch menus, or recipe tips can be ‘pushed’ through to customer’s mobile phones, keeping them informed of promotions and building customer relationships.
“Our solution enables retailers to offer a better shopping experience with easy, fast and secure card payments and the ability to directly communicate attractive offers, and share information directly with the customer and thus strengthen customer relationships,” says Payair CEO Staffan Ljung.
Payair is in collaboration with POS system vendor Cash IT, which has integrated the mobile payment solution into it checkout system.
