InsightsOne scoops $4.3 million for consumer analytics

InsightsOne has raised $4.3 million to develop its big data predictive analytics solutions. The Series A round was led by Norwest Venture Partners, whose managing partner Promod Hague joins the board, with participation from various angels. InsightsOne, founded by Yahoo! veterans, uses Hadoop software to provide real-time consumer analytics and targeting from within the cloud, licensing their solution to companies on a subscription basis, to allow them to offer for relevant marketing information and offers to individuals. With the funding, the California-based company will make new hires at executive level, as well as investing in sales, marketing and product development.
