Heartland Payment Systems launches mobile applications for higher education

Mobile payments and virtual ID cards for students

The Campus Solutions division of Heartland Payment Systems is launching three new mobile apps for students, including mobile payments and virtual ID cards (view press release). The apps are available for Android and iOS and provide students with an m-wallet from which to make on-campus purchases and access Heartland’s Campus OneCard System, an ID card and campus management system. The mobile apps include:

  • MyPay, a virtual campus ID card and mobile payment app that can be used to make on-campus purchases. Transactions can be completed remotely by sending the payment information to the POS terminal directly from the smartphone.
  • MyAccount, a student mobile banking app that enables students to manage their OneCard account, check balance, add funds, report lost/stolen and purchase services such as parking or meal plans.
  • OneCard Mobile Admin, an app that enables administrators to manage the OneCard system through functions such as viewing student card use information or managing building and room access control.
