Koupon Media raises $4.5 million in series B funding

The round was led by Dallas based Trailblazer Capital and included participation from existing investors DFJ Mercury and The Matthew Pritzker Company (view press release). Koupon Media will use the funds to develop its technology platform and make it available for use with retailers, consumer product brands and marketing agencies. Koupon Media operates in the mobile couponing space and delivers single use product coupons via QR code, bar code, SMS, email or the mobile web. Offers can also be delivered through a retailer’s app. The company’s platform can be integrated into a retailer’s POS system and provides analytics on customer buying behaviour. The company recently partnered with retail giant Michaels Stores.

The company raised $2 million in series A funding back in August 2011.
