TAS Group and SCIL partner to support EMV migration in the US

Smoothing the transition to EMV for US businesses

Through the partnership the two parties will collaborate in smoothing the transition to EMV for a wide range of businesses in the US (view press release). TAS Group provides applications for EMV transaction acquiring, authorisation and data preparation whilst SCIL is a US EMV payments consultancy and solutions provider. Through the alliance, issuers, acquirers, merchants and processors undergoing EMV projects can access relevant technological and business experience with regard to matters such as EMV data preparation and personalization, transaction acquiring and authorisation, and Card Not Present transaction security. They will be able to approach the partnered companies for EMV applications, consulting and training on how to achieve EMV migration and compliance effectively and efficiently.

Migrating from a magnetic-stripe system to the new EMV standard can be a demanding task,” said Mario Mendia, TAS Group’s Director responsible for US Operations. “By joining forces with SCIL, we will provide the best of our EMV expertise to US card industry players, supporting them in completing their migrations with reduced costs, lesser impact and shorter time-to-market.”
