Shop and pay by QR code

Online retailer, Mouse-e, has scored INR10 million (USD193,320) from an undisclosed angel investor. The Bangalore based-startup hopes to secure USD5 million in venture capital within the next three months.

The online retailer sells a wide variety of products and has partnered with FedEx and Xygle, a mobile solution which allows customers to shop and pay by QR codes. Though targeting markets in major metropolitan areas, the firm hopes to service smaller cities and rural areas. The company expects to cover the top 130 Indian cities initially and will use the funds already raised to expand into new geographical territories.
