Easycash completes contactless portfolio with certification of Visa payWave cards

Accepting all contactless card standards in Germany

Easycash, an affiliate of payment solution provider Ingenico, is now accepting all contactless card standards in Germany, including MasterCard PayPass, Visa payWave and girogo (view press release). To accept contactless cards, merchants require the necessary acquiring contracts and latest NFC-enabled terminal, the Ingenico iCT250. Easycash enables merchants to support all contactless cards through one company, and increase throughput by speeding up the transaction process.                

Visa Europe states that it intends introduce 500,000 payWave cards in Germany by the end of the year while the girogo project aims to roll out 1 million GeldKarte (MoneyCards).
