The app, called Image Deposit Direct Mobile (IDD Mobile), enables business employees to deposit checks remotely, in real time, from their iPhone device (view press release). Employees in the field can deposit checks and associated remittance coupons upon receipt by taking photos of each side and submitting them for processing through the app.
IDD joins JP Morgan Treasury Services’ suite of check imaging solutions that includes Virtual Remit, Image Cash Letter, Check Deposit Return Images, International Cash Letter and ATM Business Deposit Card. All transactions are encrypted with SSL encryption and sensitive data is never stored on the device. The app will be available to for Android in the coming months.
