New and existing clients of PAY.ON’s payment processing platform, PaySourcing, will now collaborate with Munich based Payworks GmbH for mobile payment solutions (view press release). Payworks equips payment providers, banks and telecom providers with turnkey, white-label products and modular components with which to enter the mobile payment market.

The duo's first product, payworks.terminal, is an app mobile POS solution for retailers similar to Square, PayPal Here and iZettle. Small retailers can utilise the solution to accept card payments at the POS so long as they are equipped with smartphone and internet access. A plug-in card reader can also be attached to the smartphone for faster processing. The app is available on iPhone and Android and can be customised to the payment providers specific requirements. The solution is PCI compliant, storing no card data on the mobile phone, and signature verification is required for authentication.
