Payfirma opens up its mobile payment platform to developers

Accept credit card payments through a mobile app

Third party mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android devices can now accept mobile credit card payments through Payfirma’s payment platform (view press release). Developers can use the platform to manage transactions, PCI compliance and credit card reader integration, securely sharing information between the app and Payfirma platform. Types of app that would find the Payfirma platform useful include invoicing, accounting, restaurant and retail apps. Mobile invoicing apps, for example, can integrate with the platform to generate invoices and process payment on the spot instead of emailing the client over the invoice at a later date. Apps integrated with the platform send information such as transaction type, transaction total and receipt recipient email address to conduct the transaction. Information such as transaction ID, time, date and order details is then returned following the transaction.

The mobile development community is key to Payfirma,” says Payfirma CPO Kalle Radage. “We are continually building out our platform to make it easy for developers to add payment functionality… this will allow developers to create a new wave of game-changing payment applications.”
