First European partner

As a result of the partnership, online retailers using the Ogone platform will be able to offer their customers the MasterCard PayPass Wallet programme which provides an e-wallet service allowing consumers to store payment and shipping information securely in the cloud. Through the service, consumers can make quick online payments with a click of a mouse or tap of a tablet or smartphone. The wallet is open so customers with different card types than MasterCard can also use the service. (view press release)

The MasterCard PayPass Wallet Services will become available in Q3 of this year and the integration with the Ogone system will be carried out in an upcoming quarterly Ogone platform update release.

Currently around 35,000 merchants in 45 countries use Ogone as their payment service provider.
