iCache, a mobile payment technology developer, has won two awards at the CTIA E-Tech Awards for Geode, its digital wallet for iPhone, (view press release). The solution came top in the Mobile Application in Mobile Commerce, Shopping and Rewards category and the Mobile CE Accessories category. The winners were chosen based on innovation, functionality, technological impact, implementation and ‘wow’ factor.
The Geode solution comprises of an app and iPhone case with fingerprint scanner, e-link display and patented rewritable GeoCard. It removes the need of a wallet by consolidating the user’s credit, debit and loyalty cards into a single solution. The app is secured by a biometric reader which can only be accessed with the user’s fingerprint. The Geode payment solution is accepted everywhere and will be rolled out from June this year.
