Mobile payment company Buck has reported record Q1 figures with 368% growth in transactional revenue and a considerable uptake in new marquee customers such as Glamour Magazine (view press release). The company also announced an increase in usage of its m-commerce platform by new and existing merchants with a 282% increase in gross merchandising volume resulting in a 297% upswing in transactions. Buck, formerly Billing Revolution, enables single click mobile credit card purchases on any device and network whilst on the go. No account, username or password is required. Having made the first transaction the user then becomes a member of the Buck network and can use their mobile as a digital wallet at Buck affiliated stores.
“It is now evidently clear that mobile commerce is gaining rapid adoption by users across all market segments,” said Andy Kleitsch, Buck CEO and founder. “At Buck, we enable merchants to provide easy and secure on-the-go purchasing for their customers. The simplicity of our technology helps merchants and consumers alike navigate through the complexity of mobile transactions…”
The company is also expanding its senior management team with the appointment of Anthony Lanham to SVP of Global Sales and Business Development. Previously, Lanham was Director and VP of Sales at Receivable Management Services, an iQor company.
