Group Commerce bags USD21 million for deals platform

White-label platform enabling clients to offer their own group buying deals

Group Commerce has scored USD21 million in a Series C funding round led by Jafco Ventures with participation from existing investors including Spark Capital and Carmel Ventures. The New York-based firm provides a white-label platform to let its clients generate revenues by offering their own group buying deals. The company says it will use the funding to develop its technology and expand into the UK, Germany and other European countries. It says the capital will also be put towards growing its US clientbase. The New York-based company, which recently acquired the UK operations of Dealised, has now raised more than USD40 million in funding to date.
