i2c partners KargoCard and targets China’s electronic payment market

Delivering prepaid, mobile payment and loyalty solutions in China

i2c, a California based payment processing technology company, is partnering with Shanghai-based prepaid service provider, KargoCard, to deliver prepaid, mobile payment and loyalty solutions in China (view press release). Through the deal, i2c will provide its payment processing services to KargoCard’s suite of products within China. The company is also building a new data centre in Shanghai to support its growing presence in the region.

KargoCard is an established leader in their market with a rapidly growing distribution network, strong management team and impressive client list,” said i2c CEO Amir Wain. “Their drive to revolutionise the Chinese payments industry aligns perfectly with i2c’s commitment to bring innovation to global payments.”

A recent report from Mercator Advisory Group estimated China to be the world’s largest prepaid market in terms of market potential.
