BOKU and T-Mobile USA partner for in-app purchasing in carrier’s app store

1-Tap Billing

BOKU is now an approved carrier billing gateway for the T-Mobile Mall, the carrier’s app store (view press release). Through the partnership, developers can now integrate in-app payments into their Android app with BOKU’s 1-Tap SDK for Android. 1-Tap Billing enables customers to purchase and upgrade games without having to manually enter credit card information or leave the gaming experience. Applications and games will be distributed and marketed through the T-Mobile Mall and transactions completed for in app payments using BOKU will be billed directly to a subscriber’s carrier bill.

Our merchants find significant value in the high conversion rate of mobile payment with in-app purchases,” said Ron Hirson, BOKU president. “By combining our bank-grade technology with the access to millions of customer who regularly use the T-Mobile Mall, we’re confident this global billing and distribution method will add tremendous value to game developers seeking a wider audience and increased revenue.”

The move will open up game developers to accepting app payments from T-Mobile USA’s 34 million subscribers.
