Clairmail recognised at San Francisco Business Times Tech and Innovation Awards

"The importance of mobile in the financial sector"

Clairmail, a mobile banking and payment solutions company, has won the award for the Best Mobile Application or Service in the 2012 San Francisco Business Times Tech and Innovation Awards (view press release). The accolade spans 15 categories and is awarded for solving challenging problems whilst growing companies and creating jobs in the Bay Area. Clairmail was chosen for its mobile banking and payment solutions for financial institutions which, the company claims, led to around 500 million transactions for seven million users last year.

Not only does this recognise the success and growth of Clairmail’s mobile offerings, customer base and employees, but this is also a great reflection of the importance of mobile in the financial sector,” said Clairmail CEO Pete Daffern.

Back in March the company was acquired by Monitise for USD173 million.
