Venmo, the P2P social mobile payment service, has launched a new app for iPhone, Android and Blackberry designed to be more social and easier to use (view press release). The new app features the payment feed on the home screen making it easier to browse friend’s activities, leave comments, and engage in experiences that friends have shared. The app also has a public payment feed, enabling users to share payments beyond friends to everyone else on Venmo. Other features include the ability “to compose a payment like a tweet or a text;” view friend’s profiles, shared payments and past transactions; and add friends from contacts and Facebook friends.
