Western Union and MIDFLORIDA Credit Union have entered an agreement to offer customers Western Union money transfer and expedited bill payment services throughout MIDFLORIDA’s network of around 30 branches in its service area of 14 central Florida counties (view press release). Through the agreement, MIDFFLORIDA customers will be able to send domestic and international money transfers for pay out at around 500,000 Western Union agent locations in 200 countries worldwide, and make urgent bill payments to its biller network.
“People live further apart than ever before – with time and distance creating a gap between family and businesses with whom they may support or purchase goods from,” said SVP of MIDFLORIDA Credit Union, Michael Cheeseman. “The addition of Western Union will allow our members to send and receive domestic and international money transfers or make urgent payments conveniently and quickly.”
