First Data launches PCI Rapid Comply Solution

Helping SMBs attain PCI compliance

First Data is launching PCI Rapid Comply, an online self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ) and vulnerability scanning tool designed to help small to mid-sized merchants attain PCI compliance (view press release). First Data claims it is the first payment processor to offer this type of integrated service to its customers.

The PCI Rapid Comply solution is a web application designed to enable merchants to complete the annual SAQ quickly and easily. By answering a few ‘pre-SAQ’ questions, PCI Rapid Comply directs merchants to the SAQ version that is right for their business and helps pre-populate the appropriate SAQ questions with accurate answers. This can reduce the number of questions merchants have to answer by as much as 85%, claims First Data.

PCI Rapid Comply also includes an integrated vulnerability scanning tool that will automatically execute quarterly scans for merchants required to pass a scan as part of the compliance process. Customised remediation plans are also offered to help identify any steps the merchant must take to become compliant. Upon achieving compliance, merchants are presented with Information Security and Incident Response Policies based on the SAQ document they completed.
