Sweden's four largest wireless operators launch mobile wallet

Sweden’s four largest wireless network operators, Telia, Tele2, Telenor and 3 are launching WyWallet, a mobile wallet service based on Accumulate’s mobile financial services platform, Mobile Everywhere (view press release). WyWallet will be available to 97% of the country’s handset users and will support P2P money transfers, SMS transit and ticketing payments, online shopping and prepaid card top-up. The wallet will also have NFC POS payment capability which will be demonstrated with live tests in shops from next week.

WyWallet is currently available on Android, iPhone, Java and will be integrated in Windows Phones later this year. The operators intend to add more services and features towards the end of the year.
