Chase Paymentech partners Ingenico for EMV and NFC enabled PoS device

Telium iCT250

Chase Paymentech, a merchant acquirer and payment processor, has selected Ingenico’s Telium iCT250 PoS terminal to sell to merchants across the US (view press release). Ingenico’s Telium iCT250 terminals accept EMV chip cards, NFC-enabled mobile phones, contactless cards, and traditional magnetic stripe cards. The two parties collaborated together to conclude Class A certification of the device hardware and application on Chase Paymentech Solution’s Tampa processing platform using their UTF messaging format. The certification makes Ingenico’s Telium iCT250 terminal and application available to merchants as a stand-alone countertop or in combination with external Ingenico iPP220 & iPP320 PIN Pads.

As emerging payment options gain adoption in the U.S., merchants are looking to make the customer check‐out process as easy and safe as possible,” said Mike Duffy, president of Chase Paymentech. “The terminal is a one-stop solution for merchants to keep accepting today’s forms of payment and prepare for new consumer payment preferences on the horizon.”

The Telium iCT250 terminal was designed in line with Visa’s Technology Innovation Programme (TIP) requirements and in accordance with MasterCard’s EMV roadmap for the US.
