Commerce Sciences snags USD1.8 million for personalised shopping

Personalised shopping service Commerce Sciences has raised USD1.8 million from backers including Google chairman Eric Schmidt’s Innovation VenturesGenesis PartnersT5 Capital and a host of angel investors also participated in the round. Still operating in private beta mode, the firm is yet to reveal exactly what its service will offer but it is expected to incorporate big data analysis of consumers’ online shopping behaviour to help e-commerce services create online retail experiences tailored to their target audiences.
