Converting push button telephones into virtual payment processing terminals

IVR Technology Group (ITG), a developer of interactive voice response, web and mobile applications, is partnering with transaction banking solutions company, Fundtech, to expand the functionality of its IVR Pay-by-Phone virtual terminal (view press release). The partnership enables users to convert any push button telephone into their own virtual payment processing terminal by using Fundtech’s TotalTransact credit card gateway technology. ITG’s IVR Pay-by-Phone gateway combines ACH capability with credit card processing, allowing users to pay bills via credit/debit card or eCheck, which is processed and completed in real-time. Users of the terminal will be able to certify in accordance with PCI-DSS as the system does not store, process, or transmit payment card data over the VoIP network.

We are excited that this partnership will allow us to continue to grow opportunities together. It will also reduce costs associated with PCI DSS and costs of a live agent handling those electronic payments over the phone,” said Mike Byrne CEO of ITG.
