Earn loyalty points for net dollars spent

Elan Financial Services, a payment card provider, is partnering with financial-services firm, Edward Jones, to offer a suite of Edward Jones MasterCard personal and business credit card products and services to the firm’s clients (view press release). Cardholders will be able to earn loyalty points for net dollars spent which can be redeemed for travel, merchandise, gift cards and charitable donations. Users can also earn exchange points for ChoiceInvest, which allows clients to redeem points for cash that may be directly deposited into their Edward Jones account.

As part of the deal, cardholders will have access to MasterCard’s 24 hour concierge service, fraud protection, travel accident insurance and easy cash access.

"Our partnership with Elan allows our financial advisors to more deeply serve our clients by offering three distinct credit card options, which can be tailored to specific spending preferences," said Kirk Leonard, Edward Jones principal responsible for banking solutions. "It's another way we can provide our clients with the personalized service and customized programmes they've come to expect with Edward Jones."

At present, current Edward Jones cardholders are being transferred onto the programme.
