INSIDE Secure and France Brevets launch NFC patent licensing programme

INSIDE Secure, a provider of semiconductor solutions for secure transactions and digital identity, is collaborating with France Brevets, an investment fund dedicated to patent promotion and monetization in Europe, to launch an NFC patent licensing programme (view press release). Through the programme, INSIDE Secure NFC patents will be made available to device manufacturers building products that will support services such as contactless payments, transit, access control, loyalty and ticketing. France Brevets’ role incorporates managing and leading all the efforts under the NFC licensing programme and providing device manufacturers with access to the INSIDE Secure NFC patents.

The licensing programme, which France Brevets has already started to rollout, also aims to address multiple categories of NFC device manufacturers, such as those making smartphones, feature phones, tablets, laptops, PCs, TVs and smart meters.
