Bank of America Merrill Lynch expands its card solutions in Argentina and Europe

Extending its international coverage

Bank of America Merrill Lynch, a provider of transaction services, is extending the international coverage of its cards solutions (view press release). As a result of the announcement, BofA Merrill will offer its commercial cards in Argentina, Czech Republic, Finland, Poland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In addition to this, there are plans to make available Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Direct Debit. Under SEPA, the eurozonewide payment programme initiative, all existing country-specific local payment instruments will be replaced by 2014. Through investment in SEPA Direct Debit technology, BofA Merrill aims to allow its commercial card clients to benefit from the operational implication and cost savings created by harmonisation of multiple instruments and reduced number of paper mandates that need to be managed for cardholders.
