miiCard appoints new chairman and non-executive director

New management

miiCard, an online identity verification service provider, is appointing Stephen Brannan as its chairman, and Tim Bullock as its non-executive director, reports Finextra.  Their role will include leading the company’s drive for widespread adoption of the online identity verification service in the financial services industry. miiCard states that the inability to easily authenticate a user’s identity online has been a barrier to trade, with between 70% and 90% of all online financial transactions terminated when the customer is required to provide physical proof of identity.

Brannan has a banking technology background and most recently worked for RBS as its director of group technology. Bullock has around 33 years’ experience in banking and finance and is the co-founder of New Wave Ventures LLP. Prior to this he worked for Barclays and Lloyds.
