Horton Group, an American web design and development firm, is integrating payment gateway Authorize.net into its e-commerce websites for small businesses (view press release). Merchants using Authorize.net can authorise, settle and manage credit card and electronic cheque payments via websites, retail stores, mail order/telephone order call centres and mobile devices. The company said online payment gateway’s lower costs associated with collecting payments, offer more security and add a level of convenience to the customer experience. It also claims that creating an e-commerce website with an integrated online payment solution will lead to an increase in customer bases and revenues.
