The Symitar division of Jack Henry & Associates, a provider of technology solutions and payment processing services, will be converting the USD2.2 billion Northwest Federal Credit Union to its Episys core system in-house (view press release). The credit union has around 120,000 members and was originally chartered to serve the CIA. It had been on the same legacy core system since 1976 and selected Symitar’s Episys for its upgrade in a bid to improve efficiency, maintenance, compliance, strategy and service.
With the new system, Northwest FCU plans to reduce reporting time from days to minutes by no longer needing IT assistance, and to gain a comprehensive view of the member’s entire relationship on one screen.
Initially, the credit union will install complementary Symitar solutions, including ARCU data warehousing, iTalk IVR, DataLink CU automated call reporting and components of the Synergy Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform.
