First Data and Warsaw Transport Authority announce contactless payments for transport

First Data and the Warsaw Transport Authority are launching contactless payment enabled ticket machines for Warsaw public transport. The ticket vending machines have been fitted on buses and trams, and accept contactless payments of up to PLN 50 (USD 15). Customers also have the option to pay in cash. In Poland, contactless payments are on the rise. By the end of July there were 112 of the devices which accepted contactless payments, which is expected to increase to 580 the end of 2012.
