Coffee and donut retailer, Dunkin’ Donuts, is launching a mobile payment and gifting app (view press release). Users of iPhone, Ipod Touch and Android devices will be able to pay for goods by scanning their smartphone using a mobile Dunkin’ Donuts Card in-store or at the drive-thru. The app supports AmEx, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal. In addition, by using the app’s mGift feature, customers will be able to send virtual gift cards by text, email and Facebook Connect.
