Mobile and online payment company, Jumio, is releasing an updated version of its Netswipe Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) with Boost 20/20 (view press release). The company claims that adding this payment functionality to an app’s checkout process will drive revenues by around 20%. Integration comes at no charge and Jumio has allocated USD5 million in free scans for qualifying developers. Jumio states that nearly half of all mobile transactions are not successfully completed at the checkout, however, when customers are provided with a card scanning option the payment completion ratio increases. The SDK is designed to also improve card reading performance and auto-focus, with additional security features and branding configurability for merchants. Card scanning is available for Visa, MasterCard, Dines Club, AmEx and Discover cards.
