payvia joins ETA's Mobile Payments Committee

payvia has joined the Mobile Payments Committee of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), a trade association of the global electronic payments industry (view press release). The committee is an industry-wide taskforce that includes representatives from the mobile payments industry, and was created to develop key policy and business strategies for overall industry advancements. The Committee will hold its first meeting in late August.

payvia will work in partnership with the ETA to facilitate the global flow of e-commerce, develop and implement industry-wide solutions and achieve network interoperability among merchants, credit card companies, mobile networks, equipment operators, financial institutions and manufactures.

“Our industry must work collaboratively to ensure that the regulatory and business environment promotes innovation and cooperation,” said ETA CEO, Jason Oxman. “We are proud to welcome payvia, together with other innovative payments industry companies, to the committee and look forward to their contribution in helping to drive the mobile payments agenda forward.”
