Punchey launches end-to-end payments platform

Payment provider, Punchey, is launching an end-to-end payments platform for small and mid-sized businesses (view press release). The payments and promotion platform will allow business and consumers to conduct transactions on a mobile device, via the web or at the store counter.

The Boston-based company’s products include a physical card reader that enables merchants to swipe credit cards and handle customer checkout. The Punchey Mobile Card Reader, an all in one terminal, authorises sales, captures signatures and sends digital receipts to customers. It is compatible on any iOS device and connects through Wi-Fi or a 3G/4G connection

In other news, the company has raised USD1.7 million from Stevens Ventures.
