Western Union launches money transfer service in Myanmar

Partnering with Myanmar Oriental Bank

The Western Union Company, a global payment services provider, is partnering with Myanmar Oriental Bank to offer money transfer services in Myanmar (view press release). Through the deal Myanmar citizens will be able to receive money from friends and family from around the world. Around two million Myanmarese are estimated to be employed across Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Japan, Korea, US, Europe and Australia.
