Additional payment options

Antique chain, RubyLane.com, is partnering with Amazon Payments to offer buyers an additional payment option on its site (view press release). Palmer Pekarek, director of communications and new development, at RubyLane said that the move is in response to requests from customers for an alternative payment system.

With a special introductory offer, sellers on the site pay 2.4% plus USD0.30 per transaction (regardless of sales volume through Amazon Payments), rather than the usual 2.9% plus USD0.30 per transaction, until at least October 1, 2013. After this time rates are subject to change but will not exceed 2.9% plus USD0.30 per transaction, with an additional 1% fee per transaction for international orders. In addition, on October 31, 2012, the site will waive its USD75 set – up fee for new shops wanting to sell on the site.
