Etisalat Nigeria is partnering with Nigerian banks, First Bank, GTBank, Stanbic IBTC Bank and Zenith Bank to launch a mobile payments solution. According to reports, the solution dubbed Easywallet, will allow users to pay bills and pay for goods and services, receive and send money to friends and family, withdraw cash, top up their own airtime account or for someone else and also have access to manage their bank accounts.
The new solution has been designed to bring mobile money closer to the customer and drive the Central bank of Nigeria’s cashless policy initiative by growing the use of mobile payments.
The news comes after The Central Bank of Nigeria partnered with Zentih Bank and Visafone to launch a new mobile banking service.
