Euronet Worldwide, a provider of electronic transaction solutions, is launching its ATM service in Spain and Italy (view press release). Euronet received a European Payment Service Directive (PSD) e-money license in 2011 and this, coupled with approval for direct membership with Visa and MasterCard, will allow the company to acquire ATM debit and credit card transactions without the requirement of a sponsor bank.
