American Express is integrating with Apple‘s new mobile wallet app, Passbook, enabling cardholders to view transactions on their iPhones, according to reports. Passbook, a feature of Apple’s newly released iOS 6, is a mobile wallet that allows iPhone and iPod touch users to keep frequently used cards at their fingertips. However the financial services corporation says that cardholders will not be able to carry out transactions via the service. Most retailers do not have the infrastructure to take payments this way, but users will be able to get details on recent transactions as they happen.
