Gemalto acquires Ericsson Internet Payment Exchange

Gemalto, a provider of digital security, has completed the acquisition of Ericsson Internet Payment Exchange (IPX) (view press release). Gemalto has acquired all operations expect for those in USA. IPX will join Gemalto's software and services business line in the mobile communications segment. Gemalto is also set to acquire Ericsson's Trusted Service Manager (TSM) activity. IPX has created a number of mobile payment and messaging platforms and also controls payment platforms as a white label service for operators. 

As part of the transaction, Gemalto will also acquire Ericsson's Trusted Service Manager (TSM) activity.

The deal follows Gemalto’s recent acquisition of PrivatBank in Ukraine.
